I can’t tell enough people how much I LOVE Get Lathered and their shampoo and conditioner bars (pictured above). If you have been hearing me carry on and on about these for years now and not tried them yet, I have to know what is wrong with you! Your next chance arrives on May 2nd when Get Lathered will be a vendor on Mass Ave for the Handmade Promenade!
In addition to amazing shampoo bars, Get Lathered also makes the best soaps in the business. There are so many wonderful scents to choose from you won’t know where to start, but I promise, no choice is a bad choice with Get Lathered!

Alex of The Brick Shirthouse silk-screens every one of his tees in his garage with his own two hands. His tees feature graphics related to beer, sports and Indiana. He’s a great booth to swing by if you are a man need of a new tee shirt. He’s bound to have something to match your style! Or ladaies can shop The Brick Shirthouse to pick up a gifts for dad, brother, husband or boyfriend!

It’s time to begin meet the artists of the May 2nd Handmade Promenade on Mass Ave! This year we have 16 amazing vendors with all variety of Handmade goods. Let’s take the next couple of weeks leading up to the event to meet the vendors! Up first is Art 2 the Extreme!
Art 2 the Extreme makes the very popular recycled crayons in several shapes including rings, the state of Indiana and mustaches. In fact, Nicole makes her recycled crayons in an amazing 127 different shapes!
Stop by Handmade Promenade on Mass Ave on First Friday, May 2nd From 5pm-9pm and pick up some of Art 2 the Extreme’s recycled rainbow crayons!

We are now accepting vendor applications for the May 2nd Handmade Promenade on the Ave. This event takes places in conjunction with the Mass Ave Artful Tread event on First Friday. This event requires vendors be present and set up and tear down their own tents, tables and chairs. This event is located at 646 Massachusetts Ave (across from the former Yats location, now the new Liberty Street Bar) in the green grassy space. It’s coming this Friday-Mass Ave Midnight Shopper. Word on the street is 15 Mass Ave Merchants will be open ’til midnight for your shopping enjoyment! You can shop stores like Handmade Promenade, Silver in the City, Crimson Tate and more- read all about participating shops right here! We’re bound to come up with something extra fun for those of you who plan to stop in and shop late Friday- maybe a hot chocolate bar or a make-and-take craft? What do you think? I think it sounds like too much fun!
And, we’ve just learned something else exciting for parents looking for a night out:
** ATTENTION PARENTS! **
Good news for all you parents who want to stay out late. The YMCA at the Anthenaeum is offering Parent’s Night Out during Midnight Shopper. You can drop the kiddos off—ages 6 months to 12 years—for some holiday arts & crafts, a movie, snack and holiday fun! They’ll be open from 5-9pm. Register you kiddo now, space is limited. Call the YMCA at 685-9795.
And lastly here’s a look at more vendors and their items you can find in the shop at 750 N. College Ave (we’re just around the corner from 45 Degrees on the Cultural Trail). Woot!
Vendors featured in this post from top to bottom: Addison Ava makes the most adorable dresses for toddlers and we have several sizes available in the shop. Fanfare and Foofaraw is back again with wonderful, functional ceramic pieces. Angela Vinson also has brought us some fantastic ceramics with a focus on cups, mugs, and bowls in lovely designs. She says she will bring us some casserole dishes later next week and we have our fingers crossed! New to the shop this year is the fun Indiana themed art from Becca’s Bits and Pieces- they have taken over a whole wall in the shop, so come check them out! Last in this feature are the crochet bags of ToshiBoo Designs- they are new to the shop this year and we have tons of different colors and sizes!
Today’s the big day, the doors are opening at the Handmade Promenade Holiday Pop Up Shop and we can’t wait to help you find the perfect handmade gift for someone special or a little treat for yourself! Stop on by any time. We’re open 11am-7pm Tuesday – Wednesday, 11am-9pm Thursday-Saturday, and 12pm-5pm Sunday. This Friday is Mass Ave Midnight Shopper and many of the shops on Mass Ave will be open until midnight! Stop on by and see us!
