Bebito at the Handmade Promenade!

Last week you were introduced to The Pink Toque, an awesome soap maker who will be at the April 17th Handmade Promenade. If you haven’t heard the news yet, Handmade Promenade will be held at Luna Music Midtown in conjunction with Record Store Day, and there will be lots of free live music, free grilled meat and non-meat goodies, beer by Upland Brewery, and, of course, handmade crafts. All of these great things sure couldn’t keep today’s featured vendor away! Allow me to introduce you to Bebito:

Bebito, Handmade by Rachel Hedges

Bebito creates fun and funky toys from recycled, up-cycled, re-purposed, and vintage material. Bebito’s “incredibly quirky and lovable plush toys, art dolls, totes and wallets are embellished with original appliques and embroidery.”

Claude, a unique Bebito Geneva Baby

Bebito works on her sewing machine and with in-hand needle and thread to create  “beautiful, new, functional products from items that might have otherwise been thrown away, therefore reducing waste.”

Besides adorably awkward, lovable plush toys that you’ll want to carry with you everywhere, Bebito also makes these great wearable hand embroidered wrist cuffs:

It’s quite true that you might have seen some of Bebito’s work at Indianapolis locations like Silver in the City, Nurture, or The Best Chocolate in Town, but for one fantastic day on April 17th, you’ll be able to find her along with all her fab goods in one place at the Handmade Promenade! Don’t miss it!
