How to Apply for Handmade Promenade: read on for more information and then complete the form.
APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!
Handmade Promenade is now accepting applications for the May 3rd Handmade Promenade On The Avenue. Handmade Promenade on the Avenue is taking place May 3rd from 5pm-9pm. This event is being held on Mass Ave in the green space next to The Inventorialist at 646 Mass Ave. Applications are now being accepted. Fill yours out fast and get it in! We only have space for 15 10×10 booths, so if you want to share so we can have more variety, let me know in the application!
This event is sponsored by the Axiomport, The Inventorialist, Bebito, and Sunday Afternoon Housewife.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications for this event are being accepted until March 20. Please apply right away to be considered for participation! Rolling acceptance will take place for this event which means the sooner you apply the sooner you’ll know if you are included. After acceptance, a booth fee of $30 must be paid via PayPal by March 27th, or your space will be given to the next person on the waiting list. There will be a waiting list for this event!
Other details of note:
This is a juried event. Please take a quick glance at past Handmade Promenade vendors (take a look at past blog posts to get an idea or at our Facebook Page Photos) to make sure you would be a good fit. Mass produced, Tupperware, or Mary Kay type vendors need not waste their time or ours to apply. All items must be handmade.
We do not accept vendors who sell food at our event. Because of the location on Mass Ave there are plenty of local businesses to visit already for food including cupcakes, cajun, pub style and more. Please do not apply if you are a food vendor. Your application will not be considered.
This event will accept approximately 15 artists and you will get a 10×10 space for this event. You are responsible for your own tent, tables and chairs. Booth sharing is allowed for this event but not required. If you are applying to share with another vendor, please indicate this in your application. Sharing means you both have to fit within the 10×10 footprint of one space. If you are applying to share, each vendor should complete their own application then indicate in the space provided who you want to share your booth with. If you share a booth with another vendor, this means each of you is responsible for half of the booth fee ($15 each). If you are willing to share but don’t have anyone to share with, just let us know and if we can we will pair you up with a complimentary vendor!
Please note that previous participation in past Handmade Promenade events does not guarantee your participation in this event. We love variety and encourage new vendors to apply!
Crafters/ artist will be set up under individual tents. There WILL BE electricity available and this is why the event is ending at 9pm this year instead of 8pm as we have done in the past. You are responsible to provide your own tent lighting if you want it and please bring the longest extension cord you own to plug in.
There is no guarantee on the weather. The event will go on rain or shine. If it rains a miserable rain or thunderstorm, and you decide not to attend, that is understandable, but your booth fees will not be refunded.
If you cancel after April 1st, you forfeit your booth fee to the gods of craft and it will not be refunded.
Set up for the event will begin at 3pm. After 9pm it is up to each vendor on whether or not they will stay set up. It will get dark fast after about 8:30-9pm but you are welcome to stay set up if it is busy and you have light. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions. You may not tear down before 9pm.
At this time Handmade Promenade is solely for people who make their arts and crafts by their own two hands.

Please note: Due to time restraints, I am not able to respond to comments left on this page or to emails which do not include the required information. If your application is not complete, you will not be considered for any Handmade Promenade events until a complete application is received. Please read thoroughly and fill out your application completely!
The very minimal booth fee for this event is to cover advertising costs. Things such as poster design, color printing, print ads, etc, don’t come cheap, so thanks for helping pitch in to help spread the word!
